Watch what auto's GSA purchases now. Watch what gets kicked back as political contributions come next election. This is going to be pure Rod Blagojevich style stuff: State of Illinois gives your Hospital money, you kick back points to my campaign.Fitz says it will take the Feds three months to present the case against Rod starting a year from this July. Plenty of time for the scandels to be revealed, and to listen to tapes of Rahm and the rest swearing and bartering with the Gov. Voters are going to link the two… as the should. The game is the same.
Here you go…. Despite Filing for Bankruptcy, GM to Continue History of Political Spending
It's certainly something to keep an eye on. The backup data is somewhat confusing. I think it's important to differentiate between political contributions of GM employees (which I'd have no problem with) and contributions and lobbyist spending by GM the company (which would be very odd – the government lobbying itself?).Also, the backing data here shows the spending for the 2010 cycle so far as being "-$2200". Dunno how that happens.
