A great speech

Obama just finished. Is there more to being president than giving a great speech? Well, sure. But I don’t think I’ve heard a politician in my lifetime who can move a crowd the way Obama does. To inspire may not be enough, but it’s a necessary start.

Hey Dan,Did you see that Caroline Kennedy endorses Obama in an opinion piece in the Sunday Times? Here’s the money quote: I have never had a president who inspired me the way people tell me that my father inspired them. But for the first time, I believe I have found the man who could be that president — not just for me, but for a new generation of Americans.Boy, Bill Clinton must be royally pissed! He always kind of fancied himself as an heir to JFK.

What type of “a crowd” was Obama moving, Dan? Jim Jones moved a crowd with Flavor-Aid, yet he didn’t have much of an affect outside the campground. Caroline Scholsberg’s endorsement notwithstanding, Obama is all done after SC.

DK – as deeply embedded in the Together We Can nightmare as we all are, I would suggest that what comes after the speech is vastly more important than inspiration. We have Itzhak Perlman and Lawrence Olivier for inspiration – we need a President for governing.

Peter Porcupine,Please explain, with details, how “Together We Can” is any more of a nightmare than the hell bequeathed to us by you and your beloved Mitt.
