We certainly hope that he makes a speedly recovery from a sudden onset of a serious medical condition.Speaking of Gammons, can we please stop giving him all of the credit for inventing the Sunday baseball notes column. He expanded it, but credit for creating it belongs with Shirley Povich of The Washington Post. It was carried in the Sunday Globe for years
