Before the deluge

Nearly 18 miles along the Somerville Community Path, the Charles and the Minuteman. I got caught in a wicked downpour about two-thirds of the way through. No surprise — the clouds looked pretty foreboding the whole time I was out.

    At least you escaped the lightning. My lightning sensor in Methuen detected up 84 strikes in 45 minutes, peaking at 38 in a 10 minute period. Some big ones too. But they were closer to the I-495 beltway. This map shows the last 24 hours:
