I’ve seen a few people of good will argue that we should withhold judgment on ICE agent Jonathan Ross’ killing of Renee Good until the investigation is complete. I’m sorry, no. We know exactly what happened, from multiple angles. Every new video only makes Ross’ actions look more outrageous. And, of course, the feds are already impeding any legitimate investigation.
Public anger diminishes with every day that passes, and then we’re on to the next thing. (Invasion of Greenland, anyone?) There are no ambiguities. We know what happened. Ross should be arrested and charged with murder. Then there really will be an investigation, and we can let a jury of his peers decide his fate.

Masked thugs outfitted in camouflaged military attire, not even with a name tag or other means of identification, swooping into a community and snatching their quarry with no hesitancy of smashing car windows even with children in the vehicle; heavily armed, pepper spray and tear gas canisters at the ready while feeling entitled to plow their through and order about peaceful citizens going about their quotidian activities; contemptuous of any reasonable query made of them just who the hell they are, what the hell they are doing, both before and after the fact of their outrages, and a Jonathan Ross, whether newly recruited with a $50,000 sign on bonus from the ranks (fitting word, in adjective form) of ex-military, rejected military, or drummed out civil police officer or ten-year veteran such the actual Ross, and an event such as the murder of Renee Good isn’t seen as inevitable, is characterized as a “tragic accident”? No, all along the opportunity to shoot, to kill is implied behind the campaign to intimidate, strike fear into, deny basic legal protections, demean, dehumanize citizens and citizens-in- waiting. Indeed, the Rosses look forward to their ultimate gratification, knowing full well that they have the full faith and credit of the regime to rely on in justifying their heinousness and evading justice.
