Interesting take. I’m not sure Steve Bailey would care to see his name in that list, but I can see how those names would be grouped together as inside players. The thing that amazed me about Bailey’s career was that he managed to keep his standing as an insider without ever carrying water for anyone. Are there any other names on that list you could say the same of?

Anon 10:03: No, there are not. And that was one of Peter’s insights — that you can be an inside player as a business columnist without carrying anyone’s water, a trick that’s very difficult to pull off as a political columnist.

Read today that Jackie MacMullan took a buyout as well, any truth to that?I don’t particularly trust where I read it.
