You can’t read this

Well, as you can see, I’m plowing through the Globe online right now. And I’m wondering, what were they thinking? This looked like a good design decision when I saw it in the print edition earlier this morning. But good grief — who thought it would look good on the Web? Sorry. I’m not reading it. I’m not sure I could if I wanted to.

    Looks like it leads to a very typical page on boston.com. Maybe when you first visited, they only had the image of the letter as it appeared in the Globe, but it’s online as straightforward text now.

    Huzzah to the Globe for beginning to get this Web thang! Like Dan said, they did, indeed, initially just post some ginormous .GIF file.

    I thought it was a horrible (cheesy) design decision in print too.
