  1. Dan, how did Facebook lead us “to believe Trending Topics was based on simple arithmetic”? Was it in some announcement somewhere? Why would you think it wasn’t “personalized clickbait, just like everything else on Facebook”? (That’s what I assumed, naively.)

      I was simply making an assumption, and I was wrong. But since it wasn’t the newsfeed, I thought it would be different from the newsfeed.
