Statue of Cy Young at Northeastern University. The Red Sox used to play on land that is now part of the Northeastern campus, and hosted several World Series here. Looks like Cy was ready to go if Koji faltered.

    It’s kind of cool that a statue of one of the premier pitchers in baseball history is found on the Northeastern campus, unknown to most fans in the region. How did the Henry/Werner/Lucchino ownership miss trying to bring it to Fenway Park, even though he didn’t play at that location?
