    Now you sound like Nick Cafardo, which is not a good thing to sound like. In his 13-year career, Arroyo has made one All-Star team and has a lifetime ERA+ of 104, which essentially means that adjusted for the ballpark, he’s been roughly 4% better than league average over his career. That doesn’t sound that remarkable to me. If he didn’t have a career year his first season out of Boston, no one would even remember him.

        Well, he made more than $11 million playing baseball, so probably not too bad.
